Libra is the only sign of the zodiac that is not a living creature. It is a pair of scales, and it is an old picture: the Babylonians already called these stars the Balance. The Romans placed the scales in the hands of Astraea, the goddess of justice, and Libra has been the sign of balance ever since.
Here she is as the sign lives on earth, holding the scales in the night sky where her constellation sits, the sun in one pan and the moon in the other. Balanced, harmonious, diplomatic: the three words astrology has long given the sign.
If you were born September 23 through October 22, you were born under the astrological sign of Libra. Whether Libra is your Sun sign, your rising, or the person you are buying for, Libras carry the scales of justice and are concerned with others incorporating all perspectives. You carry scales of love, balance, harmony and justice!
